Our humble beginning from the late 1990s focused on addressing the inefficiencies of the conventional powertrain system. You may not know that you only use up to 12% of the fuel content in your tank as the remaining 88% is usually dissipated as heat loss.

Today's diesel and internal combustion engines (ICE) are fundamentally no different from their original design since the Ford Model T. Ironically, though Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Plug-in Hybrids still account for 6% of all vehicles sold, the vast majority of vehicle shoppers still want to enjoy the performance of gas powered engines with the efficiency of a hybrid or EV at no premium cost.

As a result, the Aurtronic transmission fills a growing gap in the market defined by the need for a conventional vehicle with more responsive performance at the hybrid fuel efficiency level around the same cost of a normal transmission. There isn't a technology solution of the sort in the market until the arrival of the Aurtronic.
